By installing, accessing, or using the Snag AI Chrome Extension and associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free-tier users and paid subscribers.
Snag AI is a browser extension that assists freelancers on the Upwork platform by providing AI-powered tools to improve their job application process. Specifically, the Service enables you to:
The Service is a drafting and analysis tool only. It does not submit applications, send messages, interact with Upwork on your behalf, or perform any automated actions. All actions on the Upwork platform are taken solely by you. You are entirely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated content before submitting it.
To access paid features, you must provide a valid email address and maintain an active subscription processed through Paddle. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@snagai.pro if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
You represent that your use of Snag AI does not violate any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to employment laws, data protection laws, and any applicable platform terms. You must have an active Upwork account in good standing. Snag AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Upwork in any way.
The Service is intended for use by individuals aged 18 or older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from or provide the Service to anyone under 18.
The Service relies on and integrates with several independent third-party providers, each governed by its own terms and policies. Your use of these providers, whether directly or through the Service, is subject to their respective agreements, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or content:
Snag AI offers free and paid subscription plans. All payments for paid plans are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise Paddle to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis at the start of each billing period.
Subscription fees are charged in advance. Your plan's proposal quota resets on your billing anniversary date, not the first of each month. Unused proposals do not roll over to the next billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will be communicated via the extension or email at least 14 days in advance and will apply to your next renewal.
Upgrades take effect immediately, with charges prorated for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current paid period and you will not be charged again unless you resubscribe. Refund requests are handled by Paddle in accordance with our Refund Policy.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of assisting with legitimate freelance job applications. You must not use Snag AI to:
We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, what constitutes a violation of this acceptable use policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access without refund.
The cover letters, proposals, and other text generated by Snag AI are produced by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude) and are intended as drafts and starting points only. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, may not reflect your actual experience or skills, and should always be reviewed and edited before use. Snag AI makes no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content for any particular job application.
You retain full ownership of any content you create by editing or building upon AI-generated drafts. Snag AI does not claim ownership of proposal content generated through the Service.
Our collection, use, and storage of your data (including synced Upwork profile data, job page data, and account information) is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described there.
The Snag AI extension, including its code, design, interface, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is the exclusive property of Snag AI and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service except for the limited licence to use it as described herein.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the extension solely for your own freelancing activities in accordance with these Terms. This licence terminates immediately upon cancellation or termination of your account.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or feature requests to us, you grant Snag AI a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the Service without any obligation to compensate you.
We strive to keep Snag AI available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control including third-party API outages (e.g., the Anthropic Claude API). We are not liable for any losses caused by Service unavailability.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time with or without notice. Material changes that significantly reduce core functionality will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. If you have an active paid subscription, cancellation follows the process described in Section 6.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or exposed us or other users to legal liability. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will continue to apply after your access ends.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including job wins, client responses, or proposal performance, from using the Service. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Snag AI, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunities, missed job applications, account restrictions imposed by Upwork, or any other losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Snag AI in the 90 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snag AI and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including Upwork's Terms of Service; or (d) any content you submit, transmit, or make available through the Service.
You may not use the Service if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, or if you are listed on any government restricted-party list. You represent that you are not subject to such restrictions and agree to comply with all applicable export control and economic sanctions laws.
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, labour disputes, internet or utility failures, or outages of third-party services we depend on (including Upwork, Anthropic, Paddle, or Google Chrome infrastructure).
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by contacting support@snagai.pro. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction in the territory where Snag AI is registered, and each party will bear its own costs unless otherwise awarded.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you via the extension or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
